Kinder-Graveside Services for Monte J. Williams, 73, will be held at 12 noon on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Liberty Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Damon will officiate. All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Monday, September 14, 2020 from 10 a.m. until time of graveside service.

Monte was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Alvena, for forty-two years. He was a man of strong faith and cherished his relationship with God. Monte worked very hard as a newspaper editor to provide for his family. He enjoyed keeping up with the news on his computer, playing with his dog and spending time with his family. Monte will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Monte's memory include his wife, Alvena Williams of Lake Charles; one stepson, Kelton Starkey and wife, Pam, of Dayton, TX; two brothers, Ron Williams and wife, Betsy, of Fort Worth, TX and Randy Williams and wife, Cheryl, of The Woodlands, TX; one grandson, Dillan Starkey; and one great grandson, Joshua Starkey.

Monte is preceded in death by his parents, D.B. and Bezzie Williams.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the children's home in Jackson, MS in Monte's memory.
