Oberlin-Funeral Services for Misty "Taz" Nicole Rider, 33, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin. Rev. Don Duplechian will officiate. Burial will follow at Oaklin Springs Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Misty was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She adored her children and loved spending time with her family. Misty loved listening to music and dancing. She was an avid shoe lover. Misty never met stranger. She worked very hard to try and please everyone; always helping where and when needed. Misty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Misty's memory include her parents, Susan and Kevin Rider of Oberlin; one son, Ashton Rider of Oberlin; four daughters, Aliyah Rider, Mikeala Chew, Alexia Chew and Mylee Chew; one brother, Cody Rider of Oberlin; one sister, Courtney Rider of Oberlin; and grandmother, JoAnn Welch of Oberlin.

Misty is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dewitt Lambright, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Sharlene Rider and John Black Rider.
