Elton- Funeral mass for Miranda Nicole Landry Richer, 13, will be held Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:00 am in St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3pm-10pm with a rosary at 6pm and will continue Friday at 8am until time of service.
Miranda was a resident of Elton, member of American Legion Jr. Auxiliary, Gifted Children's program, 4-H, Beta, Cheerleading, basketball, track, Rosie's Dancing for 10 years, devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was an Altar server & teacher, volunteer for Elton Fire Department & Homeland Security, won many Community Service Awards, and was a recipient of the Presidents Award. She also raised purebred Papillions.
Miranda was a loving and devoted family member. It broke our hearts to lose her, but she didn't go alone. Part of us went with her the day God took her home.
Survivors include her parents, John & Vicky Richer of Elton; brother, Luke Richer of Elton; maternal grandparents, P.L. & Des Landry of Elton; uncles & aunts, Steven Richer of Australia, Ricky and wife Gale Fruge of Sulphur, Ricky and wife Trish Landry of Port Allen and numerous cousins.
Miranda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Norah Richer of Australia.
