Mr. Willis was a resident of Oberlin having retired as a tugboat captain. He also
held many other jobs, as well. He was an auctioneer, a certified appraiser, truck driver,
and worked at Allen Correctional Center-he was a true entrepreneur. He loved talking on the phone and visiting with friends and family. He was quite a character-a reflection of him having an April 1st birthday. He was a friend to all, a stranger to none! But, most of
all, he was a truly loving husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Carpenter Willis of Kinder; his loving wife,
Kaye Carpenter Willis of Oberlin; four daughters, Tiffany Cormier and husband, MSG Orise Cormier III of Jennings; Joni Holbrook and husband, Craig of Westlake; Andrea
Sylestine and husband, Chris of Elton, and Denea' Conklin and husband, Jay of Cold Springs, NY; two brothers, Rickie Willis and wife, Angie of Kinder, and Robbie Willis and wife, Alana of Oberlin; two sisters, Mary Cole and husband, Artis of Oberlin and Renea Manuel and husband, Carl of Oberlin; and, seven grandchildren, Taylor and Reese
Cormier, Taylor and Reed Holbrook, Haygen and Logen Conklin, and Sydney Evangaline Sylestine.
