Oberlin- Michael Raymond Vizena, 56, of Oberlin, LA. Passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 to rest in his eternal home. Celebration of Life services will be held at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 9 o'clock a.m. Rev.  Wallace Kramer will officiate. Burial service will follow at Oaklin Springs Cemetery. All Michael's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
Family will receive friends and visitors on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin, from 5-9 o'clock p.m. Visitation will resume at 7 o'clock a.m. until time of service.

Michael Raymond Vizena also known as "Mike" and "Moonshine" was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. Throughout his life, "Mike's" most meaningful joys were truck driving, rodeos, and fried chicken. He also loved to give gifts, he would put a lot of thought behind the choosing of each and every one. "Mike" had tremendous love for his family, and friends. You could hear the sincerity of that love in his voice. His fighting spirit and strength endured throughout his battle with illnesses and was admired by those around him. His dedication to family connection will live on through all. "Mike" will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Michael's memory include his parents, Raymond and Wanda Vizena; sister, Stephanie and husband Chris Ramos; niece, Jessica and husband David Shuff; nephew, Joseph Duplechain; great nephew, Roman Shuff; and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Neville and Uline Vizena; and maternal grandparents, Cecil and Bessie Marie Lormand Young.
