Elton-Mr. Michael Pickett, Sr., 45, of Elton, died August 18, 2006 in Acadiana Medical Center of Eunice.

Born in Kinder, La. on Feb15, 1961 to Mr. Henry and Mrs. Anna Pickett. He was a 1979 graduate of Elton High School. He was employed by Louisiana Machinery of Lake Charles and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

His loving memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He has three loving sons, Michael Pickett, Jr., Eric John Pickett and Leonard Pickett all of Elton; his mother and father, Anna Mae Granger Pickett and Henry Luther Pickett also of Elton;
three brothers, Charles Pickett of Basile, La., Jeff Pickett of Leonville, La. and Hiram Pickett and his wife Shelly of Jasper, Texas and two sisters, Rose Mary Cormier and husband Felton of Jennings and Melissa Pickett of Elton.

Visitation will be in the Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton, Saturday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Pickett's services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2006, in St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Father Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
