Kinder-Funeral service for Michael Joseph "Joey" Marcantel, 49, will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Bob Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Joey was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. He loved his family and friends dearly and he never met a stranger. Joey loved to help others. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, making hoop nets, and selling satsumas on the roadside. He always had a smile and always told others that he loved them. Joey will be sadly missed by all who knew him. His memory will give them hope and peace until they meet again.

Those left to cherish Joey's memory include his father, David Marcantel, Sr. of Kinder; his mother, Debbie Sheridan of Kinder; his wife, Amanda Marcantel of Kinder; one son, Devon Marcantel of Crowley; three daughters, Jaqualla Perry and Amber Marcantel, both of Kinder and Jerica Monceaux and husband, Josh of Iowa; two brothers, David Marcantel and wife, Michelle and Chris Marcantel, all of Kinder; one sister, Amber Fontenot of Kinder; and grandchildren. Aleyiah; August; Renesmee; Jace; Sassy Face; Rhett; Allana; Lane; and Levi. Along with numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his two sons, Lucas and Michael Marcantel; and two grandchildren, Adaun Gaines, and Eli Marcantel.
