Oakdale-Funeral service for Michael Len Johnston, 45, will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Charles Seal will officiate. Burial will follow in Cryer Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale from 6-9 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Visitation will resume Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until time of funeral.

Michael was a kind hearted and loving person. He never met a stranger, had a great sense of humor, loved sports and wrestling, loved collecting baseball cards, loved collecting movies, and playing video games. Michael was a loving brother and best friend. Michael will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Michael's memory is his brother Craig Johnston and wife, Francine, of Pitkin.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Patsy Johnston; and his sister Elizabeth Johnston Laird.
