Elton-Funeral Service for Mary Louise Guillory, 78, will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Faith Deliverance Temple. Rev. Lannis Joseph and Rev. Milton Clayton will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Faith Deliverance Temple on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 8 a.m. until time of service.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted wife to her husband, George, until his passing in October, 2007. Mary was a woman of strong faith and a faithful member of Faith Deliverance Temple where she served as the church mother. She also attended the Refuge Temple Ministry in Lake Charles where she eventually became a faithful member, as well. Mary enjoyed attending church, reading her Bible, watching Wheel of Fortune, and most enjoyably, going to eat out with her daughters. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was a very humble, quiet person who rarely ever complained. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Mary's memories include her four daughters, Shelia Harmon of Kinder, Shirlene Morehead and husband, Donnie of Kinder, Shantelle Winters and husband, Dexter of Glenmora, and Lanora Mills and husband, Keith of Baton Rouge; five sisters, Ida Mae Joseph and husband, Lester, Sr.,  Alice Joseph and husband, Lannis, Helen Antoine, Veronica Soileau, and Maxie Soileau, all of Lake Charles; four brothers, Wilford Soileau of Elton, Alvin Soileau and wife, Judy of Lake Charles, Leonard Soileau of Elton, and Michael Soileau and wife, Deidre of Elton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Warren "Chip" Harmon, Thomas Harmon, Isreal Guillory Griffith, Terry Shallow, Ronald Lee Henry, and Emmanuel and Jairen Guillory.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Maxile and Edmonia Soileau; her husband, George Ray Guillory; two daughters, Gloria and Anna Guillory; three sons, Patrick, Donald and David Guillory; two sisters, Ethel Ann Arvie and Versa Lee Soileau; and one brother, Chester Soileau.
