Obituary

Elton--Funeral service for Mary Jane Troha Pierrotti will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Sunday, November 20, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home, and again at 9 a.m. at the church.
Mary Pierrotti was born in Eunice and graduated from Eunice High School, but most of her life she lived in Elton, Louisiana, and she loved her home.
She loved people, and she served in many civic and church groups, including the Jeff Davis Homemakers and the St. Paul's Altar Society. She had a generous heart, and she was as quick to help a stranger as a friend. She saw the best in everyone.
She loved gardening, and everyone who saw them knew she grew the best roses anywhere. Period. And If it was green, she could grow it, preserve it, and cook it.
She loved animals, and they loved her. She never let one go hungry, and every stray in the neighborhood knew her house was a safe haven.
She loved her family. She was a peacemaker and a mender of fences. Her wisdom and understanding will be missed.
She is reunited with her lifelong partner and best friend Horace Pierrotti. She returns to her parents Bertha Fuselier of Chatangier and Joseph Troha of Serbia, Czech republic; she is surrounded in the love of her brothers and sisters Gladys Werstler, Hazen Fuselier, J.C Troha, Floyd Troha, and Ed Troha, and beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who have gone before.
She is survived by many who will miss her, especially:
children Michael Pierrotti, and wife Clara Pierrotti, both of Elton; Stephanie Pierrotti, and husband Michael Eid, both of Elton.
grandchildren Alexandra Myers and husband Devin Myers of Lake Charles; Jamie Sickey and husband Brock Sickey of Kinder; Michael Reid Pierrotti of Elton, Regan Pierrotti of Lake Charles, Elijah Eid of Natchitoches, and Ava Pierrotti of Elton.
great grandchildren Trevor Connor, Noah Sickey, Presley Sickey, Taylor Myers, Alison Myers, Hudson Perales, William Paxton Pierrotti, Maddox Reid Pierrotti, and Beau Michael Pierrotti.
