Mary was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Sherman for 62 years. She was also a very proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter-in-law and friend to all. Mary was a woman of strong faith and cherished her relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a devoted and faithful member of Kinder Bible Church for 62 years where she taught Sunday School for 33 years and assisted her husband in creating the youth program. Mary loved the outdoors where she enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all, gardening and growing flowers. She was a master seamstress, wonderful artist, and enjoyed painting and sketching. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed making homemade meals for her family and any guests. Mary spent most of her life as a wife and a homemaker, making sure to provide a good example for her family, a happy loving home for her children as they grew up, filling their home with lots of love and memories as well as caring for her parents and in-laws prior to their passing. Mary was and continues to be an inspiration to her children and others. After her children left home, Mary went to work for Allen Parish Hospital in the Dietary Department where she served for 15 years until her retirement. Mary's family made her life complete, and she unconditionally loved and adored them. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren and baby-sitting them as much as possible. Mary cherished every moment she spent with her family and grandchildren. Mary will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew her.
