Kinder-Homegoing services honoring Mary "Earline" Leonard, 79, will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Bruce Joseph Leonard Jr. will officiate.  Earline will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Elton immediately following her services.

Earline's family will receive friends and visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Saturday morning, September 7, 2024, from 8 o'clock a.m. until time of service. All of Earline's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Earline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and devoted wife to her husband Bruce Joseph Leonard Sr. for 50 years until his passing in November of 2011. Earline was a former citizen of Chicago, Illinois and moved to Kinder around 2008. She was a born again Christian and had a wonderful relationship with her Savior. Earline loved and adored her family and especially enjoyed being a mother and raising her kids. She cherished every memory she made with her family and took every opportunity she was given to spend time with them.  Earline loved to dance to Zydeco music and always wanted to have a good time. She also enjoyed bowling where she was a member of a bowling league, being a beautician, baby-sitting her grandchildren and other children, and praying for her family. Full of grace, Earline was kind and caring and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish Earline's memory include two daughters, Susan Leonard of Kinder, LA, and Darline Leonard of Broussard, LA, two sons, Bruce Joseph Leonard Jr. of Carencro, LA, and Kirk Leonard of Lafayette, LA; two sisters, Margaret Leonard, of Elton, LA, and Irma Palomar, of Chicago, IL, one brother, Benedict "Ricky" LeRoy Domengieaux; seven grandchildren, Cyntrail Jackson, Charles David Leonard, Keith Joseph Leonard, Charlene Marie Paige Leonard, Danielle Leonard Lee and husband Errol, Khalil Devon Leonard, Bruce Joseph Leonard lll, nineteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Earline is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Joseph Leonard Sr.; her parents, Patrick, and Lena Eaglin; and one granddaughter, Destiny Leonard.
