Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a devoted wife of 61 years to her husband, C.J., prior to his passing away in 2005. Mary was a lifelong resident of Kinder as well as a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and a woman of strong faith. She was an active member of the S.P.N. Catholic Daughters for over 30 years. Mary was very proud to have experienced a Cursillo retreat as part of her Catholic tradition. She was retired from Allen Parish School Board as a cafeteria worker. Mary loved spending time with her family and dearly loved all of her grandchildren. She loved cooking, quilting, and playing cards and slots. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Mary's memory include her four sons-Terry Courville and wife, Gail, Kenneth Courville, Sr. and wife, Bethany, Gerald Courville and wife, Karen, and Daniel "BooBoo" Courville and wife, Angie, all of Kinder; two daughters-Judy Guillory and husband, Richard, of Sulphur, and Jane Rosson of Kinder; one sister-Juanita Womack of Easley, SC; 18 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Curry Joseph "C.J." Courville; her parents, Poley and Dia Soileau; one brother-Otis Soileau; three sisters-Lessie LaFleur, Lilly Courville, and Ruby Rester; and one great granddaughter-Alexandra "Alex" Courville.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Gerry Hebert, Brighton Bridge Hospice, Allen Parish Hospital, Kinder Retirement Center, Allen Parish Home Health, and Ms. Paula Reeves for the love and care given to their loved one.
