Obituary

Fenton-Funeral services for Mary F. Arabie, age 90, will be held on
Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10am in St. Charles Catholic Church of Fenton.
Father Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery of Fenton under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Ardoin Funeral
Home of Kinder from 4-9pm with Deacon Roy Nash officiating a rosary and vigil at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 8am until time of service.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Fenton and a member of St.Charles Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending Rosary Group and her favorite past times included sewing, baking, cooking, and quilting. She was also a die-hard Elvis Presley fan. She was a very giving lady, donating many of her handmade quilts for fundraisers and other special occasions over the years. Mary was a devoted wife of more than 50 years and loved her children and grandchildren, as well. Her pet dog, Penny Girl, was also a great love and companion to her.
Mary is survived by her sons, Hayward Arabie and wife, Renee and Edward (Bubba) Arabie and wife, Lori, all of Fenton; her daughters, Hilda Ogea of LaBleu, Audrey Sharp of Kinder, and Helen Stine and husband, Ed of Lake Charles; one brother, Nelson Fontenot of Jennings; two sisters, Lois Douget and Bette Cortez; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Arabie; one son, Howard Arabie; one great grandson, J.C. Stelly; as well as five sisters.
