Kinder-Marty David Courville, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21, 2025. A memorial service will be held on 5 o'clock p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Watersedge Church in Lake Charles. Family will host a private inurnment service at a future date.

Marty's family will receive friends and visitors at Watersedge Church in Lake Charles on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 3 o'clock p.m. until time of service. All of Marty's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Marty worked hard all his life. He started cutting meat in his teen years at his father's grocery store Courville's grocery in Lake Charles. He was a well-known butcher at Kroger's for 20+ years. As well as working a few landscape jobs as he got older. He was the absolute coolest guy. Everybody that knew him, loved him. He had lots of nicknames such as "Party Marty", "Marty Wayne", and our personal favorite "MC HAMMER". He LOVED his girls, his music and his Busch!!! He played the drums when he was younger and in a band in high school. He made sure he instilled his knowledge of music deep within his children & grandchildren. He was a loved and cherished friend of many!

Rest easy MC! We will see you again someday, Party on.

Those left to cherish Marty's memory include his three daughters, Courtlynn Courville, Lauren Courville, and Samantha Jacobson; five grandchildren, Daylon, Bria, Brooklynn, Chevi, and Colt; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Marty is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Gertrude Courville; granddaughter, Aaliyah Courville; brother, Clint Courville; two sisters, Jamice Peace and Debbie Courville.
