Kinder-Funeral service for Martha Fontenot Lingner, 73, will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 1 P.M. in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Rev. Gerry Long will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 8 A.M. until time of service.
Martha grew up in Kinder. After graduating from Fenton High School in 1959, she served our country in the U.S. Army in the field of dentistry. She later worked in the medical field after which she retired with Energy Graphics. She enjoyed her work and working in the outdoors. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Mary Ryan; her husband, Richard "Dick" Buller, who was her high school sweetheart; two sons, Jack Lingner of Baton Rouge and Greg Lingner and wife, Wanda, of Tomball, TX; four daughters, Kandace Castleberry and husband, Keith, of Houston, TX, Rebecca Hetzler and husband, Danny, of Slidell, Pam Johnson and husband, Wayne, of Pasadena, TX, and Cindy Parson; one brother, J.B. Fontenot and wife, Dorothy, of Kinder; one sister, Barbara Ardoin and husband, Sherman, of Ft. Smith, Ok; 11 grandchildren-Colton, Ronnie, Ryan, Sabrina, T.J., Paul, Courtney, Candice, Abigail, Mary and Joseph; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Lingner of Houston, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha is preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Fontenot.
