Kinder-Memorial Service celebrating the life of Marjory R. Pourteau, 97, will be held at a later date by the family. Cremation has been entrusted to Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.

Marjory was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed crafts, such as knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as cooking for them. Marjory liked canning figs every year. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Marjory's memory include her son, James Pourteau and fiancée, Linda Baker, of Sulphur; one son-in-law, Russell Banning; five grandchildren, Glenn Pourteau and wife, Julie, of Santa Fe, TX, Terri Pourteau of Houston, Chris Pourteau of Baytown, TX, Beth Davidson of Austin, TX, Ross Davidson and wife, Alyssa, of Houston, TX; four great grandchildren, Robert, Gabriel, Victoria, and Joshua Pourteau; and one great-great grandchild, David Alan Pourteau.

Marjory is preceded in death by her parents, William V. and Orvilla Royer; one daughter, Judith Elaine Pourteau Banning; one brother, Willie V. Royer; two sisters, Joyce McInnis and Billie Ferguson.
