Reeves- Mrs. Willis F. Walker (Marjorie), 79, passed away January 5, 2007 in Reeves, La.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Reeves, and a member of the Reeves Bible Church, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette after graduating from Reeves High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and the wife of Willis F. Walker, whose family was the first rice farmers in the Reeves area. She was preceded in death by her parents Ulysse and Carrie Doiron and her husband Willis of 47 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Walker of Reeves; her son Marty Walker and wife Victoria of Natchitoches, La.; her step-grandchildren, Rae-lyn and Chad Whitney, and one step-great-grandchild, Gage. She is also survived by one brother, U.A. Doiron and wife Lou Ellen of Moss Bluff; three sisters, Mary V. Walker and Husband Levi of Arlington, TX. Barbara Land and husband Carlos, and Lou Rion and husband Ernest of Reeves. The Celebration of her home going will be at 2:00 P.M., January 7, 2007 at Reeves Bible Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at Ardoin Funeral Home in Kinder on Saturday, and from 12 noon until time of service at Reeves Bible Church. Internment will be at Creel Memorial Gardens in Bel, La.
