Elton-Funeral service for Marjorie F. Green, 95, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Paul Catholic Church of Elton. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at St. Paul Catholic Church on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9 a.m. until time of service with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
Marjorie loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and canning. Marjorie loved to grow vegetables and fruit; especially watermelon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Marjorie's memory include her two daughters; Linda Hickman and husband, Norwood, of Deridder, and Beth Smith and husband, Mark, of Deridder; two brothers, Grady Fontenot of Elton, and Berlin Fontenot and wife, Sue, of Pineville; five Grandchildren, and a host of Great Grandchildren.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Alide and Arise Fontenot; and her husband, William Audrey "Smokey" Green.
