Kinder- Funeral Mass for Mrs. Marie Eva Chavis Lemoins, 92, will be held Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 10a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father John Cunningham will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held in the church Thursday from 8a.m.,with a rosary at 9a.m., until time of service.
Mrs. Lemoins was born February 6, 1915 to Lewis Romeal Chavis & Leontine Shallow Chavis of Church Point. She married Olide Lemoins on June 29, 1946 and had seven children. They have 19 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lemoins was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church since her marriage. She passed away Monday, August 6, 2007 in Kinder.
Survivors include six sons, Martin Lemions & wife Sonja of Beaumont, TX, Francis Lemions & wife Geroldine of Lafayette, Patrick Lemoins & wife Deborah of Lake Chalres, Robert Lemoins & wife Alicia of Enrid, OK, Michael Lemions & wife Ann of St. Edmond, OK, Andrew Lemoins of Kinder; daughter, Clara Lemelle & husband Wilfred of Fenton.
