Marie was a lifelong resident of Kinder and member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife of 61 years, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She graduated from Kinder High School as well as business college. She worked hard alongside her husband over the years on their family farm to provide for their family. Marie also worked as an election commissioner and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. She was a talented artist with her artwork proudly displayed in many places throughout Southwest Louisiana. She took care of all of her family with much love and devotion. She was their spiritual leader and the "matriarch" of the family. Marie will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Duplichan and wife, Cynthia of Kinder; her daughter-in-law, Jean Duplichan of Kinder; three grandchildren-Michael, Natalie and Derek; and ten great grandchildren-Paytra, Stag, Justin, Easton, Tanner, Kennison, Shayden, Annabelle, Rylee and Maykah.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Duplichan; her parents, Lillian and Olan McGee; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank Brighton Bridge Hospice for the care given to their loved one.
