Glenmora-Funeral services for Marie "ReeRee" Cook, 98, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Church of Christ in Glenmora. Rev. Justin Simmons and Bro. Marlin (Bo) Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Church of Christ in Glenmora on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service.

ReeRee was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She met the love of her life, Benson, while working at Boomtown Restaurant at Camp Claiborne during World War II and was a devoted wife to him for forty-six years until his passing in 1986. ReeRee was the sweetest, most selfless person you could ever meet. She was a God-fearing woman with a heart of gold. She was very proud of her family and loved to show off pictures to anyone who stopped by. ReeRee loved to run the roads and go garage selling. She collected many "treasures" over the years. She was also a collector of vegetables-but from other peoples gardens. She worked for many years at Century Telephone Company in Glenmora to help provide for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Marie's memory include her one son, Luther Wayne Cook and wife, Jennie; one daughter, Charlene Cook Babb; one sister, Bernice Thibodeaux; five grandchildren, Todd, Jason, and Steven Babb, Cassie Wertz and Katie Bordes; ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Pearl Stephens; husband, Charles Benson Cook; two brothers, James and Robert Stephens; and three sisters, Helen Johnson, Audrey Tracy and Hilda Daily.

Pallbearers honored to serve are-Todd Babb, Steven Babb, Dennis Cloud, Tyler Babb, Donovan Billings and Jacob Babb.

Honorary pallbearer will be Drew Babb.
