Elton-Funeral service for Marie Aylsworth, 92, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will follow in China Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 3-10 p.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Marie was a resident of Elton and member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife of 72 years prior to the passing of her husband, Walter. Marie loved flowers and yard work, sewing, crocheting, cooking and was known for being a pristine housekeeper. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include three daughters, Judith A. Mitchell and husband, Larry of Melville, Barbara M. Aylsworth and Lorraine A. Young, both of Elton; one daughter-in-law, Donna Aylsworth; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Aylsworth; parents, Theophile and Clara LaFleur; two sons, Infant Walter Russell Aylsworth and William Lloyd Aylsworth; and son-in-law, Otis Young.
