Margaret, affectionately known as Gran, was a loving wife to her husband, A.B. until his passing, as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a 1951 Amite High School graduate. After graduation, she furthered her education by attending Judson College and graduated from LSU in 1955. She then married her husband, A.B. in 1956. Following her marriage, she was involved in child welfare and medical social work at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans. Her husband's commitment to the Air Force took her to Bangor, Maine for several years, and after his discharge, the family moved to Elizabeth in 1960 where she lived for the rest of her life. She loved her community and was active in the Garden Club for many years. Her passion was in the beautification of the town, demonstrated by years of hard work picking up litter and laboring in the flower beds all around the community. She served on Elizabeth City Council for several years and was a member of the Allen Parish Library Board for 30 years.

Gran was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and Elizabeth Baptist Church for many years and loved teaching Sunday School to her "kids". She especially enjoyed setting up displays, treasure hunts and games for teaching Bible stories. Gran loved being outdoors and all things "nature". She and A.B. traveled the State of Louisiana photographing wildflowers and birds and enjoyed exploring beaches all around the world collecting seashells. This passion and hobby resulted in an extensive shell collection that was cleaned, polished and proudly displayed. Gran loved a great visit with friends and family, loved to laugh and loved to play games. She loved the beach, wading in clear streams, identifying wildflowers and birds and especially loved working in her yard. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and took every opportunity to spend time in their lives. We will always miss her while remembering our family gatherings and holiday celebrations that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Gran will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Gran's memory include her son, David Osborn and wife, Kim, of Ponchatoula; daughter, Ann Osborn Woods of Silsbee, TX; five grandchildren, Sara Brunson and husband, John, of Dallas, TX, Adam Osborn and wife, Joanne, of Montgomery, AL, Laura Bruser and husband, Jeremy, of League City, TX, Andy Osborn and partner, John Cannon, of Houston, TX and Dana White and husband, Adam, of Pensacola, FL; and four great grandchildren, Gracie Bihm, Henry White, Georgia and Lily Bruser.

Gran is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Estelle Patenotte; husband, A.B. Osborn; son, Mark Osborn; and brother, Frank Patenotte, Jr. and wife, Joy Ann.
