Kinder-Funeral services for Margaret Lucille Lantron, 85, will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Reverend Terrance Brownlow-Dindy will officiate. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 5-9pm in Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder and will continue on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 8am until time of service.
Margaret Lucille Lantron passed away in Livingston, Texas on March 27, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born in Pelly, Texas, she married Henry L. Lantron, Jr. in 1950 and the couple resided in the Kinder area where they raised their children. While residing in Allen Parish, Margaret worked for the Allen Parish Fair Association. In 1993, she served as Grand Marshal of the Allen Parish Fair Parade. She was an active member of Kinder Church of Christ as well as Livingston Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and painting. Following her husband's death, Ms. Lantron moved to Vacaville, California in the late 1990's, then relocated to Livingston, Texas, where she lived until her death.
Survivors include her three sons, Robert Lantron and wife, Karen of Livingston, Texas, Mark Lantron of Westlake, Stephen Lantron and wife, Cheryl of Kinder; two daughters, Marilyn LaRue of Vacaville, California and Marye Burch and husband, Terrell of Waco, Texas; one son-in-law, Delbert Vidrine of Ragley; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and, four great-great grandchildren.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Henry Lantron, and a daughter, Grace Vidrine.
