Margaret was a loving wife, mother, granny and sister. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Darrell, for 58 years. She was a lifelong resident of Elton and Basile. She was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church for 56 years where she served in Ladies Altar Society.  Margaret enjoyed sitting at her table, drinking coffee, and visiting.  She loved to sew and she dearly adored spending time with her grandchildren and "taking turns" having them staying the night at her house on the weekends.   She was a very kind and caring person who loved her friends. Margaret especially enjoyed spending time with her family, as well. She will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Margaret's memory include her husband, Darrell Fontenot of Elton;  two daughters, Angela Dougan and husband, Jerry of Elton and Crystal Fontenot of Kinder; two sons, Kirt Fontenot and wife, Libby of Elton and Troy Fontenot and wife, Lori of Elton; one sister, Gloria Lasage of Elton; one brother, Nolan LeJeune of Moss Bluff; 13 grandchildren-Jeremy, Katlynn, Keagan, Ciara, Dylan, Hannah, Landon, Hunter, Halli, Caleb, Noah, Kayden, and Halilah; one great-granddaugter, Addison; and, one great-grandson, Judah, on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Luda LeJeune;  and one brother, Francis LeJeune.
