Kinder- Funeral service for Mrs. Mamie Lois Johnson Hilton, 90, will be held Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in First United Pentecostal Church in Kinder. Rev. T.L. Smith & Rev. Rod Nesmith will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder. Mrs. Hilton passed away Monday, May 18, 2009.
Visitation will be held at First United Pentecostal Church in Kinder from 5pm-8pm and will continue Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 9am until time of service.
Mamie was a native & resident of Kinder for many years. She was a member of Kinder High School graduating class of 1936. She retired from Bell South after 30 years of service and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Hilton & wife LaVerne of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Jack Hilton & wife Linda of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Webster Hilton (Rube); one daughter, Judith Ann Hilton Edney.
