Obituary

Kinder-Mrs. LaFargue was born in Elton on December 2, 1917, and Lived in Kinder for 68 years. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and Ladies Alter Society.
She owned Maggie's Café and Managed the Dairy Queen and Yellow Jacket Café.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce LaFargue and wife, Diane of Lake Charles, Carlos LaFargue and wife Paula, Wayland LaFargue and wife Dorothy both of Kinder; daughter, Loretta L. Sanders of Kinder; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude LaFargue, daughter Patsy L. Dunnehoo; parents, Oliver and Beatrice Marcantel Manuel; sister Leda Manuel; brothers, Eiton Manuel, Maxiel Bertrand; and son-in-law, Don R. Sanders.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 18, 2006 at 10 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Kinder. Father Ronald Groth will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemtery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. rosary and Monday From 8 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Shannon and Stephn LaFargue, Chad and Patrick Sanders, Jay, Cade, Chase and Cole LaFargue.
