Oakdale-Funeral service for Macie Ann Willis, age 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in the chapel of Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Larry Farris and Rev. Brantley Bryan will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Allen Parish Funeral Home.
The family will receive visitors at Allen Parish Funeral Home, 311 Highway 1152, Oakdale, from 2-9 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
Macie was a lifelong resident of Oakdale. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading and cooking, especially for her family. Macie was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Macie's memory include one daughter, Janice Strother and husband, C.W., of Oakdale; one son, Russell Willis of Oakdale; her nephew, Keith Thompson, whom she raised as a son; two sisters, Johnnie Mae Buxton of Clinton, and Mable Willis of Glenmora; one brother, Ray Cloud of Clinton; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Macie is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Annie Cloud; her husband, Sidney Willis; and a baby girl, Macie Ann Willis.
