IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyndon Beau
Agneaux
February 24, 1990 – September 1, 2025
With hearts heavy beyond words, we announce the passing of Lyndon Beau Agneaux, 35, who walked on from this world on Monday, September 1, 2025. Born in Dewey, South Dakota on a winter's day-February 24, 1990, Lyndon carried within him the strength and spirit of generations. He was an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and walked proudly with his Coushatta family as well, honoring both legacies with deep love, fierce loyalty, and reverence.
Lyndon's life was filled with deep roots and a strong presence. A 2008 graduate of Kinder High School, Lyndon worked several jobs throughout the millwork and cabinetry industry, honing his craft over the years. Most recently, he found purpose and pride in his role at Jeansonne's Millwork & Cabinet, Inc. in Alexandria. There and at home he built pieces that will outlast us all: strong, beautiful, and enduring, just like him.
Lyndon's greatest source of pride and love was his children: Cheylyn River Sioux Agneaux, Willow Grayce Agneaux and Forrest Lane Agneaux. In them, he saw the future and his roots. Their names were never far from his lips, and their spirits walked with him in every dance, in every prayer, in every quiet moment beneath the stars. Though his time here was brief, the bond he shared with them is everlasting, and his spirit will continue to walk beside them always.
Lyndon's spirit was deeply tied to the rhythm of the drum and the warmth of the circle. He looked forward each year to the annual pow wow, where tradition met celebration, and where he could be among his people in song, dance, and prayer. In those moments, a quiet joy lived within him-a reverence for his identity and roots, felt deeply as he supported his family before they stepped into the circle.
Lyndon leaves behind a large and loving family: his parents, William "Casey" LaPlante and the late SherRon Langley, Phyllis Langley, his siblings: Boyd Langley Sr., Justin LaPlante, Xavian LaPlante, Todd LaPlante, Xadyn LaPlante, Willard Knight, Rylee Knight, Elijah Lee Vaughn-Brown Wolfe, Larisa "Shay" Langley, Caselyn LaPlante, Tomilane LaPlante, and Eileen Grace Brown Wolfe, Katherine Amy Brings Plenty, Michael Maurice Langley as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and community members who knew him.
He now joins those who preceded him in death: his mother, SherRon Langley; grandmother, Grace Curley Agneaux; grandfather, Wilton "Gator" Langley; and brothers, Bronson Langley and Grant Langley. We take comfort in knowing he is wrapped in their love and welcomed home.
Though his passing came from a place of deep pain that words can scarcely touch, Lyndon's life deserves to be remembered not just for how it ended, but for how he lived-honorably, humbly, and with heart. We remember Lyndon for the small things: the soft smile he gave without asking, the way his laughter made others feel like home, and the way his hands would gently pat a child's back or build something lasting for someone he loved. He was more than his struggles. He was a son, a father, a brother, a craftsman, a culture bearer, and a soul walking this Earth with quiet strength. May we speak his name with love and honor his memory with compassion-for ourselves and for one another.
Lyndon's family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and will continue on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 8:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday and will be officiated by Reverend Jansen Poncho followed by burial at St. Luke Cemetery in Elton, Louisiana.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will include Shawn Christian, Brendan Collins, Eddie Langley, Jacob Robinson, Gary Wayne Langley, and Joey McCrea. Honorary Pallbearers are Forrest, JJ, BJ, Madden, King, Casey, Justin, Willard, Xavian, Xadyan, Todd, and Andrew.
