Grant-Funeral Services for Lydia Adeline Caskey Boudreaux, 91, will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Palestine Baptist Church in Grant. Rev. Hardy Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 4-9 p.m. at Palestine Baptist Church. Visitation will resume Sunday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.
Adeline was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Palestine Baptist Church in Grant for many years. She loved sitting on the porch watching the birds and squirrels, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and crocheting.
Adeline especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She looked forward to the holidays and having all of her family together.
She was a witty person who enjoyed laughing and loved people. Adeline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Adeline's memory include her three daughters, Linda David and husband, Bob, of Broussard, Lydia Faye Broussard of Mittie, and Dorothy John of Mittie; one sister, Lillie Tilley of Mittie; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great grandchild, also with one on the way.
Adeline is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Lydia Caskey; spouse, Austin Boudreaux; four brothers, Rev. Steve Caskey, Norman Caskey, Floyd "Joe" Caskey, and Thomas Caskey; one sister, Evelyn "Sue" Furlough; and one grandson, Jonathan Boudreaux.
