Lula was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She was a woman of strong faith and was very proud of her Catholic heritage. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, cooking, being outside and most importantly spending time with her family. Her family says she made the best rice and gravy and purple hull peas. Lula also liked making pies, decorating her house and listening to zydeco music. She was a woman of southern hospitality and was a very generous person. She would help anyone in need; always wanting to take care of everyone. She was very proud of her son, Elvis, who is a United States Army Veteran. Lula will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Lula's memory include her four sons, Elvis Gradney of Beaver Creek, Ricky Gradney of Baytown, TX, Christopher Gradney and wife, Sona, of Zachary, LA and Joseph Gradney of Baton Rouge, LA; three daughters, Loria Gradney of Baytown, TX, Carolyn White and husband, Dwayne, of Baton Rouge, LA and Beverly Gradney of Baytown, TX; four sisters, Marita Cezar of Oberlin, Helen Sibley of Baytown, TX, Judy Gilmore of Oberlin and Angeline Collins and husband, Joe, of Lawtell; two brothers, James Victorian of Oberlin and Henry Victorian and wife, Equilla, of Oberlin; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
