Oberlin-Funeral service for Luella Jane Landry, 81, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Oberlin United Pentecostal Church.  Rev. A.A. Haymon and Rev. Leon Fontenot will officiate.  Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oberlin.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday morning at Oberlin UPC from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Luella Jane, affectionately known as "Loetta", was a longtime resident of the Kingsfarm area before moving to Oberlin ten years ago.  She was very devoted to her church and she prayed all the time.  Her church was her "life".  Loetta also enjoyed sewing by hand-especially making quilt tops with all of her sister's scraps of material and she also made "hot pads" with coke bottle tops.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Loetta's memory include her only sibling-her loving sister, Charlene Marie Andrews of DeRidder, her two nieces-Donna Hollingsworth and husband, Robert, of Austin, TX, and Lorene Jimney of Moss Bluff; her three nephews, Dale Andrews and wife, Gail, of Moss Bluff, Neal Andrews and wife, Sandie, of Lake Charles, and Kermit Andrews and wife, Sherry, of DeRidder; as well as her extended family and friends.

Loetta is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Stella Landry; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Andrews.
