Obituary
Elton-Ludie Louise Miller, beloved mother, wife, nana, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend, went to be with our heavenly King on Friday, September 27, 2013. Her unwavering faith will give comfort and peace to all who knew and loved her. She was a giving and loving woman and lived a God-fearing life. She was a prayer warrior who prayed for many, giving of herself at the same time as helping anyone in need.
Ludie was born on October 2, 1951 to Isaac and Lydia Briscoe. On February 10, 1968 she married her devoted husband, J.D. Miller.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, J.D. Miller of Elton; three daughters, Roxanne Milner and husband, Marti, Stacy Fuller and husband, Dustin, and Racheal Miller; one son, Shane Miller; nine grandchildren, Sloan Milner, Molly Milner, Sage Baumler, Slate Fuller, Kilee Fuller, Shaina Miller, Lydia Miller, Blade Miller and Jamilyn Oro; her mother, Lydia Briscoe; four brothers, John Briscoe and wife, Carol, Calvin Briscoe and wife, Vickie, Leland Briscoe and Joseph Briscoe; three sisters, Dianne Richard and husband, Terry, Pam Reeves and husband, Marty and Angela Ortego; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her family and friends were very dear to her.
Ludie is preceded in death by her father, Isaac Briscoe; her mother and father-in law, Preston and Ida Miller; two nephews, Mason Ortego and Zachary Briscoe; her sister-in-law, Rose Briscoe; and very dear friends, Brenda Laughlin and Rousella Doise.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 3-9 p.m. at Elton Baptist Church. Visitation will continue at the church Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 8am until time of service. A Celebration of Life will follow in Elton Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with burial following in Liberty Cemetery. The family will have fellowship with everyone at the church hall following burial.
