Kinder-Funeral service for Lucille A. Manuel, 85, will be held
Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10am in United Methodist Church of Kinder.
Rev. Truman Stagg will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty
Cemetery in Elton.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 in
United Methodist Church of Kinder from 4-10pm, and continue
Friday in United Methodist Church at 8am until time of service.
Lucille was a resident of Kinder. She was raised in Patterson,
California and graduated from Patterson High School in 1944.
She worked at Fort Ord Hospital in Monterey, California; where
she met her husband, Army Sergeant Lesley Manuel, while he was
working as a Military Police at same hospital. They were married
in Elton on her birthday, September 8, 1946. She remained in Kinder
and was member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, and
was a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Lucille is survived by her son, Bruce and Darlene Manuel of
Kinder; one brother, Arnold Krogh and wife Neva of Bend, Oregon;
and one sister, Betty Ruth and husband "Lindy" Lindevald of
Freemont, California; and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Ruth Krogh;
and husband, Lesley Manuel.
