Kinder-Funeral Services for Lucile H. Simmons, 89, will be held Monday,
January 17, 2011 at 2PM in Kinder Bible Church. Rev. Robert Jones will
officiate. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Memorial Cemetery under the
direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 in Kinder Bible Church
from 9AM until time of service.
Lucile was a retired social worker with more than 20 years of service. She
was a member of Kinder Bible Church where she served as leader of Ladies Aid and also
worked with the youth of the church. She enjoyed cooking and arranging flowers.
She is survived by her stepson, Phillip Simmons and wife, Carolyn of Dry Creek; a stepdaughter, Linda Barrett, and husband Jimmy of Dry Creek; nine nieces and nephews, Funtel Laughlin of Lafayette, Bobbie Lofaso of Lake Charles, Jean Callahan of Huntsville, Alabama, Wonola Riggs and husband, William of Kinder, Carolyn Leubner of West Lake, Marvin Thompson of Beaumont, Texas, Linda LaRocco of Lake Charles, James Nevils of Lake Charles, and Donald Nevils of West Lake.
Lucile is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Simmons as well as her parents, A.J. and Doris Hebert.
