Elton-Funeral service for Lucas Lance Celestine, 36, will be held in the chapel of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10 o'clock a.m.  Pastor Dustin Miller will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Homes.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 1-9 p.m. with a singing service at 7 p.m.  Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Lucas was a loving son, brother, father and friend.  He graduated as Valedictorian of his high school class at Central Scenic High in Baton Rouge.  He also graduated from Louisiana Technical College in A/C and Refrigeration while working at the Coushatta Tribe in the A/C department. After seven years he went to Coushatta Casino to work in the maintenance department on the Hvac team until he got sick in 2019. He loved sports, baseball, golf, fishing, and collecting caps.  Lucas also enjoyed shopping and spending time with his family, children and friends. His greatest enjoyment was to watch his son, Dason, play football and watch both Dason and his daughter, Kirra, play baseball and softball. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Lucas' memory include his parents, Carlton and Linda Celestine of Elton; the mother of his children, Selena Brown of Carlyss; one son, Dason "DaDa" Celestine of Elton; one daughter, Kirra Marie Celestine of Elton; two brothers, Jacob Dwayne Celestine of Welsh and Joshua Nakoma Celestine of Elton; and one sister, Melissa Murphy of Prairieville.

Lucas is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Joyce Kratzer; his paternal grandparents, Gus and Madeline Celestine; one brother, Carlton Brooks Celestine; and his niece, Hallie Celestine Manuel.
