Lowell passed away peacefully at his home in Kinder on Friday morning, August 23, 2024, with his loving family by his side.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a faithful and devoted husband to his wife Carolyn Lemoine Keys for 55 years. Lowell was born in Kinder on April 10, 1944, to the union of Oswin and Mildred Keys. Lowell was a lifelong resident of Kinder and a 1962 graduate of Kinder High School. A few years after high school in 1966, Lowell enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country for 3 years and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1969 and would return home to Kinder where he would join his father in owning and operating Keys Appliance. He was a member of many civic organizations such as the Kinder Rotary Club, a board member of the Allen Parish Ambulance Service, and a former Kinder City Council member. Lowell was a proud and patriotic Vietnam War veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #244 and VFW, as well as the Vietnam Veterans Association. He loved and adored his family and valued his role as a son and husband, but he cherished his role as Daddy and Papa. Lowell was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where he knew and served God every chance he got and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved his church family, and they loved him in return.  Kind and caring, Lowell was a very fortunate man, and will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Lowell's memory include his wife, Carolyn Lemoine Keys; one daughter, Elizabeth Keys Casselberry; and one granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Casselberry.

Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Oswin and Mildred Keys.
