Kinder-Funeral mass for Mrs. Lovenia J. "Maw-Maw" Bushnell, 73, will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2p.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.in Ardoin Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 12 noon. Visitation will continue in the funeral home until the time of service.

Mrs. Bushnell was a native and resident of Kinder. She was employed by Coushatta Casino Resort as a supervisor. She was a member of St. Philp Neri Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She served as voter commissioner in charge for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rosemond Bushnell; her sister, Eltra Cole; her grandson, Adam Bushnell-Berry; and her parents, Thomas & Eunice Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Rosemond Gerald Bushnell and wife, Vonne of Sulphur, and James Hurst and wife, Marie, of Colombia, GA; four daughters, Mrs. Sylvester "Sandra" Bushnell of Houston, TX; Mrs. C.J. Angie "Bumbie" Broussard of Westlake, Ms. Elmer "Shreat" Johnson of Westlake, and Ms. Jane "Baby Jane" Bushnell of Kinder; three sisters, Elizabeth Edwards, Octavia Trahan, and Eva Clophus, all of Lake Charles; two brothers, Andrew Johnson and Lewis Clifford Johnson both of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
