Jennings-Funeral service for Louis Langley, 69, will be held on Wednesday,
October 31, 2012, at 2 pm at Ardoin Chapel of Elton. Rev. John Cernek
wiill officiate the service and burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery under
the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
The family will receive visitors at Ardoin Chapel of Elton beginning
Tuesday, October 30, 2012, from 2-10 pm, with a singing at 7 pm. The
visitation will continue on Wedneday morning from 8 am until time of service.
Louis was born in Kinder and a member of the Indian Bible Church.
He worked more than 20 years for Houston Power Light Company. He
was a wrestler for the Houston Wrestler Federation in Houston, Texas. His
wrestler name was Chief Thunder Cloud, and together with his partner, Chief
White Eagle, they were well known in the wrestling community. They both traveled
from Texas to Mississippi wrestling. He also loved music, playing the
guitar, and singing Johnny Cash and Indian songs. He was a loving father,
grandfather, and loved his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Langley of Jennings; three daughters,
Connie Langley Farias, and husband Jessie, Bonnie Langley Montano both of Houston, TX, and Destiny Langley of Jennings; three sisters, Audrey Rose and
husband Carlton J. Sr. of Basile, Lucille Langley of Jennings, Virginia Benavente
and husband Vicente' of Fort Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Aristea, Ora,
Michelle, Federico; and six great grandchildren; Johnny Jr., Richard, Vincents, Alexandria, Dalia, and Clarissa.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Gardner Langley Sr.,
and one son, Louis Langley Jr.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will include Hector Valdez, Johnny Herrera, Robert Stroder, Vincent Herrera, Joel Valdez, Jessie Frias, Ross Ortego, and Larry Mallette.
