Kinder- Funeral mass for Mr. Louis Attlie Fontenot, 83, will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10a.m. in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2pm-9pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and a spiritual service by the family will follow. Visitation will continue Saturday at 8am until time of service.
Mr. Fontenot was a resident of Kinder,an usher for St. Philip Neri Catholic Church for 50 years, and retired from Gifford Hill & Kinder Canal. He passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 in his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Agnes "Rena" Langley Fontenot of Kinder; four sons, Kenneth Fontenot & wife Geneva of Kinder, William "Bill" Fontenot & wife Maxine of Kinder, Eddie Fontenot & wife Carol of Oberlin, Douglas Fontenot & wife Natalie of Welsh; two daughters, Sandra Lejeune & husband Al of Roanoke, Karen Courville & husband Gerald of Kinder; two brothers, Joseph "Chick" Fontenot of Kinder, Wilford "Dub" Fontenot of Lake Charles; three sisters, Ezora Richard of Kinder, Edolia VanBuskirk of Kinder, Isabelle Buller of Lake Charles; 41 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
