A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta "Red" Marks, 70, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Jose Vattakunnel will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 9 a.m. with a Holy Rosary at 10 a.m.
Loretta was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She never met a stranger. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lake Charles for 45 years and was a woman of strong faith. Loretta liked to cook and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked to listen to music, especially on 104.9. Loretta will be greatly missed by all her loving family and friends.
Loretta is survived by her two sons, Paul Ceasar and wife, Gean, of Gautier, MS, and Michael Ceasar and wife, Arlene, of Lake Charles; three daughters, Cheryl Walls and husband, Joseph, Cindy Oliver, and Darlene Thomas all of Lake Charles; brother, Hubert Thomas and wife, Maxie, of Elton; five grandchildren; and a special niece.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, Bervick and Mildred Thomas; and her brother, Joseph Herbert Thomas.
