Leblanc- Funeral service for Mrs. Loretta Dianne Burnitt Yancey, 60, will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10am in Leblanc Pentecostal Church. Rev. H.W. Smith & Rev. Alfred Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be held Thursday in Leblanc Pentecostal Church from 3pm-10pm and will continue Friday at 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Yancey was a resident of Elizabeth, and she was Pentecostal in faith. She loved to pan for gold and riding roller coasters. Mrs. Yancey passed away Monday, June 29, 2009.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Yancey of Dry Creek; two sons, Israel Jesse Spears & wife Glenda of Kinder, David Yancey & wife Crystal of Dry Creek; one daughter, Dorothy Johnson & husband Bruce of Elizabeth; two brothers, Larry Burnitt & wife Carolyn of DeQuincy, Silas Shirley of Dequincy; six sisters, Marsha Martin of Dequincy, Jolene Trahan & husband Andrew of Little Cypress, TX, Kathy Bushnell & husband Lenard of Dequincy, Margretta Rougeou & husband Leland of DeQuincy, Syvella Ann Jackson & husband Wayne of Sugartown, LaBreeska "Bre" Hall & husband Randy of Kinder; 10 grandchildren.
Mrs. Yancey is preceded in death by her father, Vester Burnitt and mother, Ivy Shirley.
