Elton- Funeral service for Mrs. Lora Mae "Lou" Bertrand. 86, will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 in First Baptist Church in Elton. Rev. Dore Langley will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
Visitation will be held Friday in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton from 4pm-9pm and will continue Saturday in First Baptist Church in Elton from 8am until time of service.
Mrs. Bertrand was a resident of Elton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elton where she helped with many activities. The family she loved and enjoyed so dearly will miss her. Mrs. Bertrand passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Bertrand & wife Rose of Elton, Wayne Bertrand & wife Wanda of Alto, Texas, Jessie Bertrand & wife Loma of Elton; one daughter, Brenda Woods & husband Eddie of Lake Charles; one sister, Loretta Jane Parker of Petersburg, Virginia; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, & 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bertrand is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bertrand.
