Oakdale-Celebration of Life services honoring Lonnie L. Walker, 78, will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 12 o'clock noon at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Greg Willis will officiate. Lonnie will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oakdale immediately following his services.

Lonnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a faithful and devoted husband to his wife Martha Susan Walker. Lonnie worked hard as a Superintendent at Boise Cascade in Oakdale for several years to provide for his family. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lonnie affectionately called "PaPa" by his grandchildren, loved and adored his family and cherished every moment he spent with them. He always made sure to make time to go to the school for grandparent functions or ball games. Lonnie enjoyed going to Stop and Shop in Oakdale where he would drink coffee with his friends as well as bringing boudin and boudin balls to Dr. Davis's staff. Lonnie will be forever missed and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish Lonnie's memory include his wife Martha Susan Walker; two sons, Terry Walker and wife Tina and Jerry Walker and wife Debbie; one daughter, Christina Lee Walker Ware and husband Freddie; two brothers, Billy Ray and Robert Walker; one sister, Mae Walker Crews; eleven grandchildren, Matthew Walker, Amber Kosina, Wesley Walker, Barrett Walker, Josh Walker, Brittany Willette, Jordan Hussong, Bud Doucet, Delton Doucet, Cody Ware and Dennis Beach; and thirty five great grandchildren with one on the way.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Thelma Mae Walker; and two brothers, Jimmy and Harold Walker.
