Lois was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Frank, for sixty-eight years until his passing on June 20, 2011. They raised six children together in Oakdale. Lois worked at Elizabeth Paper Mill as a secretary to help provide for her family. She was the best cook you could ask for. Lois made the best French toast and left the recipe for her children to continue making. She loved to make shrimp delight and her fried chicken was the best. "She did it her way". Lois had her Rosary meetings at her home and her faith was very strong in the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Lois' memory include her three sons, Warren Smith and wife, Theresa, Carl Smith and wife, Adri and Bill Smith and wife, Barbara; two daughters, Charlotte Dickey and Nancy Trahan and husband, Peter; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Marcantel Duhon; one son, Mike Smith and wife, Shirley; two brothers, Ovie and Fred Duhon; and four sisters, Bessie Darbonne, Melva Bergeron, Virgie Williams and Mary Louis Duhon.

Pallbearers honored to serve are-Thad Dickey, Bill Smith, Doug Dickey, Graham Dickey, Brian Smith, Jeff Smith and Kevin Touchet.
