Kinder- Lois Fruge LaFargue Cormier, 94, of Kinder, LA passed away on July 29, 2020 in Kinder, LA. Private Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home.

Guests are welcome to attend for graveside services at approximately 3:00 p.m. at Carter Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2020. The family asks that all CDC guidelines and social distancing practices are implemented for all guests that attend.

Lois was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Kinder High School, class of 1943, worked at Calcasieu Marine Bank in Kinder, LA and retired from Sears after 20 years of service in Lafayette, LA. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Cliffy, spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to play Skipbo. Her hobbies included gardening and painting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her son, Kenneth Todd LaFargue of Houston, TX; her daughter, Myra LaFargue Benoit and husband, Roy P. Benoit, of Kinder, LA; three granddaughters, Erica Barnett and husband, Stevie Barnett, of Kinder, LA, Amy Weatherford and Richy Brooks, of Kinder, LA and Trish LaCour and husband, Ben LaCour, of Kinder, LA; seven great-grandchildren, Kristian, Brennan and wife, Cassidy, John Andrew, Jess, Madison, Maggie and Jackson and one great-great-grandson, Dexter.

Lois is preceded in death by her late parents, Joseph McKinley and Estelle Anna Bergeaux Fruge; her first husband and father of her children, Clarence LaFargue and late husband of 25 years of marriage, Clifford Cormier; two brothers, Burton Fruge and JW Fruge; and five sisters, Dorothy Duhon, Annie May Fruge, Inez Manuel, Ethel Fontenot and Wanda Joyce Fontenot.
