Kinder-Funeral service for Mr. Lloyd Manuel, 77, will be held Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 4p.m. in Kinder Bible Church. Rev. Robert Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Carter Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Kinder.
Visitation will be in the funeral home Saturday, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday, from 8 a.m. until noon. Visitation will continue from 2 p.m. until time of service in the church.
Mr. Manuel was a native and life long resident of Kinder. He replaced his father (Evence Manuel) as President of the Kinder Drainage Board and held this position until his death, was active with FFA and 4-H youth programs, President of the Kinder Rice Dryer, active member of the cattlemen and Ranchers Association, active member of Allen Rice Growers Association, he farmed rice and soybean, and raised cattle for 50 years, he was a avid hunter and rodeo enthusiast, and a member of Kinder Bible Church. Mr. Manuel died Friday, June 23, 2006 at 2:45 a.m. in Lake Charles.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Johnson Manuel of Kinder; sons, Greg Manuel and J. Lane Manuel both of Kinder; 5 grandchildren & 5 great grandsons.
Mr. Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers & 2 sisters.
