Elton-Linda Faye Ceasar May, 68, was born on August 30, 1956, in Pineville, Louisiana to the late Audrey "Des" Cezar and Leola "Yula Mae" Guillory Ceasar, and entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Paul's Catholic Church of Elton. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Paul's Catholic Church of Elton beginning at 9 o'clock a.m. with the Holy Rosary beginning at 11 o'clock a.m. Lin will be laid to rest at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Elton following the services.
Linda, affectionately known as "Lin," was raised in Elton where she was a 1974 graduate of Elton High School. Soon after, she moved to Sulphur then later to Port Arthur, Texas where she had a career in the construction industry being nothing short of a hard worker. Nothing brought more joy to Lin than spending time with her family. She loved to open her doors to anyone and cook a hot meal. Even after she became ill, Lin was still eager to offer a dish for the next family gathering. She was strong in her faith, including reading her Rosary every day and praying for everyone she knew that was in need of prayers.
Those left to cherish Lin's memory include her beloved son, Roderick (Jodi) Williams, Sr; three daughters; eleven grandchildren, Ravontaue, Darius, Tylyn, Tayshawn, Kameron, Kaycee, Kodi, Aubrey, Roderick Jr, Richard and Karhartt; two sisters, Barbara Ceasar and Leslie Roberts; one brother, Corey Ceasar; three aunts, Alicia McCray, Vergie Green, and Joyce "Cashow" Ardoin; two brother-in-laws, Calvin "Toni" Lovely and Willie "Rannah" Lovely Sr.; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Lovely; and countless extended family and friends.
Lin is preceded in death by the love of her life, Jimmie May Sr.; her parents, Audrey "Des" Cezar and Leola "Yula Mae" Ceasar; grandparents, Ozema and Cezia Prudhomme Ceasar, Common and Odelia Johnwell Shallow Guillory; two sisters, Shirley "Choke" Moore and Lisa Ceasar; nine uncles, Ozema Ceasar Jr., McZeale Simon Albert Ceasar, Joseph Shallow, Alcon Guillory, Lawrence Guillory, George Guillory, Eugene Guillory and Freddy Guillory; seven aunts, Viola Guillory, Mary Lemelle, Celestine Singleton, Leatrice Richard, Esther Allen, Gertrude Guillory, Evana Johness.
