Obituary

Oakdale-Funeral service for Lilly Janelle Doyle, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale. Rev. Tony Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Oakdale.

The family will receive visitors at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 12-8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Janelle was an outstanding, loving wife to her husband, Leo, for 51 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Janelle loved everyone, had a big heart and was happy all the time. She loved going on trips with her friends and was a big cut-up. She loved going to church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She especially loved taking her granddaughter to church. Janelle enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved working with her friends at Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home where she loved serving her community. Janelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Janelle's memory include her husband, Wilford Leo Doyle, Sr.; and two sons, Wilford Leo Doyle, Jr. and wife, Lisa, and Derrick Scott Doyle and wife, Lydia, both of Oakdale; one brother, Dewey Edwards and wife, Lilly, of Harker Heights, TX; two sisters, Patsy Johnson and Gleta Chamberlain both of Oakdale; 2 grandchildren, Mitch Doyle and Dustin Doyle; and 1 great grandchild, Zoey Olivia Wilson.

Janelle is preceded in death by her parents Dewey Edwards and Bobby Edwards; one son, Patrick Michael Doyle; and two sisters, Dorothy (Sissy) Willis and Nelda G. Edwards.
